Polar OwnZone - automatic calculation of training zone intensity with audible and visual alarms - The Polar RS100 allows you to let the heart rate monitor set your training zone for you. This is generally about 65-85% of Max HR. The training zone is determined by the watch following a 5 minute walking / jogging test. You may choose to accept this zone or use your own manually prescribed one.
Polar OwnCal - calorie expenditure with % of fat burn calories.
99 lap / split stopwatch with 1/100 second resolution. This is useful when doing interval work, fartleks, or running a distance marked race and wish to collect and then recall mile / km times.
When the user presses lap, the display of the Polar RS100 freezes for a few seconds and shows lap time, average HR and lap number, it then moves on to split time (total elapsed time since start). The display then reverts back to user selected options.
The Polar RS100 has a flexible display and allows the user to view the data that is most important to them, i.e. Calories, Total Time and Heart Rate.
Summary file at end of session : At the end of a session the Polar RS100 allows the user to review, duration of exercise, heart rate average for the entire session, the training limits applied, how long you spent "in zone" and the amount of calories burnt with % of fat calories.
The Polar RS100 also creates a "file" for each session over 1 minute. The training file contains the following information. Date and start time, duration of exercise, average heart rate (in bpm or %), maximum heart rate (bpm or %), training zone applied, time in this zone, time above the zone and time below zone. Total calories burnt during session and the percentage of those calories that came from fat. If the lap function has been pressed the Polar RS 100 will also recall number of laps, best lap time, lap time with average heart rate and heart rate at end of lap.

You can reset these whenever you wish.
Intervals : The Polar RS200 has a 3 segment interval trainer. You may choose to use 1, 2 or all 3 segments. The segments autorepeat one after another if required. An example would be 10 mins in HR Zone 1, 6 mins in Zone 2 then 2 mins in Zone 3, then repeat

Speed and Distance - using the highly accurate inertia controlled accelerometer Polar S1 foot pod. These units gernerally do not need calibrating and from our experience give about 96-97% accuracy out of the box, if you wish to calibrate for more accuarcy, you can. User can set pace alarm to warn when to speed up or slow down plus realtime pace and distance monitoring. Autolap feature to save each mile/km to file.

The Polar S410 heart rate monitor is a great performer. Polar has built upon the old Polar S210 with the addition of computer communication via SonicLink to transfer the training data from the monitor to PC and UpLink to load the settings from PC to monitor. This gives the user the added advantage that data can be analysed with the software (supplied). The Polar S410 HRM utilises one complete exercise storage file and five header files with 99 data points in the memory. The user may also note lap information.

The user enjoys easy storage and analysis of the exercises over a long period so progress is easy to check. Advanced technology also ensures there is enough memory for storing all your exercising information. The Polar S410 may also be attached to a bike.
